Help wanted: Coach administrator

Believe it or not, being coach administrator does not require coaching--at least not coaching players. The coach administrator typically comes from the rank of coaching, but it is not essential to the job

Instead, the coach administrator job is about recruiting coaches and insuring they are properly trained and certified. Coach administrator will also typically recruit one or two assistant coach administrators to help.

Coach administrator are typically VERY busy for the two months running up to the season at which point things ease up considerably

The coach administrator is also deeply involved in building and balancing teams, rating players with the assistance of coaches

The coach administrator may also be involved in training coaches, but that is not essential to the position.

During the rest of the year, the coach administrator is a board member who participates in planning for and running the regional AYSO with other board members.
